Mighty McGuire Meals

In our 2020 Spring Season one of our Mighty Women, Sara McGuire, consistently came up with these amazing nutrient dense meals that inspired the whole team to make their own.

Why are they awesome?

 

Because they are packed with vitamins and minerals which is great for health and as a bonus, they can be made to be very low calories which makes weight loss easy!

 

Every time one of the girls posted these types of meals I would comment “it’s a Sara meal”.

 

However after some thought I have decided to now call it the #MightyMcGuire.

 

For weight loss: learn to eat smarter, not exercise harder. You may want to get more aggressive with your calorie deficit to lose weight faster, but if you don’t know how to eat properly to nourish your body and also stay satiated, you will likely just rely on restrictions, will power and other extreme methods which of course is unsustainable.

 

In general, to stay full on a calorie deficit

 

Eat protein
Fill your plate with veggies
Eat high volume food for relatively low calories

 

I give my team the task to make these amazing #MightyMcGuire Meals with these parameters:

At least 25% protein
At least 300 calories
At least half the plate in greens/veggies
Carbs and fats can be variable
