I lost a total of 18 pounds from the program!

I am over 50 years old and I was close to 150 pounds when I started the Mighty Transformation (MT) program. According to my family doctor, my Body Mass Index (BMI) was high – not healthy for my height and weight. I was technically OVERWEIGHT – even though I looked thin at the time. My cholesterol level was also high. I was a walking time bomb, waiting for a heart attack or stroke to happen.

I said to myself, it is about time! I needed a change. A sustainable change.

I wanted to have a healthy lifestyle for me to be healthy at an old age. I want to live beyond 90 years old with still an active, healthy lifestyle.

I heard about Gil from a colleage and friend, Rei, who did the program successfully.  He said Gil would teach me to develop a healthy-lifestyle daily habit and system that I could apply for the rest of my life. And that exactly what I got from the 12-week MT program.

My initial goal when I started was to simply be under 140 pounds and to develop a healthy eating habit. It was more about the healthy-eating habit that I wanted to develop. I did not want to use my will power everyday because that was just exhausting, and I always ended up eating too much and eating unhealthy foods.

As I went through the MT program, I was learning different systems on how to have automatic healthy-eating habits where I don’t have to resist my cravings and where I don’t have to deprive myself of the foods I liked.

That’s exactly it – the program taught me to still eat the food I like and yet lose weight and eat healthy.

By the middle of the program (at exactly Week 6), I achieved my goal of being below 140 pounds. But I remembered just about 8 years ago, I really liked my weight, felt healthy, and I was under 130 pounds at the time.

So, I modified my goal and wanted to be under 130 pounds. By the end of the program (Week 12), I was under 130 pounds. And now, just a couple of weeks after the end of the program, I still have maintained my desired weight. Yay!

But most importantly, I have eliminated my previous unhealthy habits. I no longer snack on chips which contributed to my weight gain before. I no longer buy $6 Starbucks latte every morning which was over 300 calories anyway. I now drink my homemade Nespresso coffee in the morning – and it is 0 calories! I sometimes would add a tablespoon of oat milk creamer and it is still just 25 calories in total.

Just looking back within my 12 weeks during the MT program, what really stood out for me the most was that I never felt deprived. I could still eat my favorite foods. Gil taught us systems and processes on how to achieve our goals and yet still enjoy those foods.

Now, after the program – I am still applying what I learned from the program. That’s why my current weight is still the weight I really like and feel healthy. I am now 128 pounds. I lost a total of 18 pounds from the program (from Week 1 to Week 12).

Thank you, Gil. The MT program was worth the investment!
